Course Abstract
This course explores the fundamentals of computer networks and cybersecurity. It covers network architecture, TCP/IP protocols, addressing (IP, DNS), and communication models. Students learn about routing, switching, transport protocols, and network services. The cybersecurity component focuses on vulnerabilities, threat models, encryption, authentication, and secure communication practices. The course combines theoretical principles with real-world security concerns and introduces tools for analyzing and securing network infrastructures.
