Course Abstract
This course explores the principles of gamification applied to ethical data collection, with a strong focus on transparency and informed consent. Through a guided, hands-on project, participants design and develop a simple video game using Unity3D, learning how tasks such as classification and annotation can be transformed into engaging gameplay mechanics.
The course covers the key stages of the design process, from identifying data requirements to creating game dynamics that encourage responsible data collection. Its goal is to provide both practical skills and critical awareness of how games can be used as tools for active participation and data generation.
